About The Soccer Farm CSA

The Soccer Farm CSA operates at Bragdon Farm in Amherst and Bushnell Farm in Meredith, NH under the guidance of Ben Brewster, the resident head farmer. Featuring organic vegetables, flowers and berries the farm offers weekly pickups or delivery. We give out food once a week from June through November at convenient sites in Meredith and Amherst. The Soccer Farm CSA is a community supported agriculture project which is in its eighth season. Surrounded by acres of peaceful fields and forest the gardens produce the only organic corn in the area, 15 varieties of tomatoes, squash, pumpkins, all kinds of hearty greens, peppers, carrots, beets, sweet watermelon, potatoes, onions, garlic, u pick flowers and thirty other varieties of vegetables and flowers.

We take great pride in maintaining healthy soil, rotating crops and nurturing produce with timely organic practices. We have had a lot of fun working with land owners Fred Paquette and Stuart Bushnell. Several high school and college students grow with us as interns helping to max out our harvest while learning the art and science of food production. We have left room for a small multi purpose sports field for soccer, frisbee, touch football and other activities. We can host monthly events including farm to table meals, cookouts, hay rides, treasure hunts, camping and Halloween activities. Sports teams can use our area for team building and augment their normal training with small field play and skill review. Call us or text us at 603-996-1019 if you would like to explore having an event at the location near you.

The Soccer Farm CSA

Why The Soccer Farm name? Ben Brewster spent 30 years coaching and playing soccer at the professional, college and high school level. He continues to enjoy training individual and small groups of players. He uses current soccer players as well as other athletes to staff the program. Having played and coached at a high level Ben is acutely aware of the need for fresh organic food for families shaping the development of young athletes and others. So the Soccer Farm reflects this desire to support young soccer players and others while producing tasty, fresh food to help them grow and max out their performance. Equally important the farm has given some food each year to food pantries and shelters. Starting in 2016 we will raise additional food so that 30% of what we grow can go to soccer families in need of free food, and food pantries. We are planning to grow enough to give away several tons of food this year. We hope to partner with old soccer friends, CSA members and soccer clubs to make this a successful part of the Soccer Farm every year.
